Bayhead surgery is moving!
July 9th, 2014 by Dr WheelerThere has been a great deal of uncertainty recently regarding the surgery in Bayhead. As most of you will be aware – the design of the new school requires that the building that we currently use be earmarked for demolition.
It still isn’t totally clear when this will happen – but it may be quite soon. As such we have been working behind the scenes to see if there might be some way to continue the service.
The practice is very grateful to the new headteacher at Paible Primary, Miss MacSween, and her team of janitors as they have gone out of their way to accommodate our fortnightly surgery – at least in the short term.
The next Bayhead clinic (tomorrow 10/July) will go ahead as usual in the current building – but the next clinic scheduled for the 24th/July will now be in the old janitors house. The entrance to this is at the far left of the school as you look at it from the road (this is separate from the main school entrance).
The new location will have the advantage of having much easier access for patients with limited mobility. Otherwise the clinic should work in just the same way – medication pickup can be accessed from 2:20 onwards… the first clinical appointment is at 2:30 – all appointments must be booked before hand.
Please spread the word, and thank you again to the staff at Paible school for helping the community in this way.
