Defibrillator fund Bring and Buy

We are holding a bring and buy to raise funds for a new defibrillator for the Practice. This event will take place on Friday 4th September 2009 at 7:30pm in Lochmaddy Hall. Please come along and support us. Check out our poster if you like.
Swine flu helpline in England!
July 24th, 2009 by Dr Wheeler.You may have heard of the new helpline that allows Tamiflu prescription over the phone in England and Wales. This service does not yet cover Scotland however – you should continue to phone NHS 24 on 08454 242424 as your first port of call with flu like symptoms in this country.

Swine Flu alert
July 16th, 2009 by Dr Wheeler.There may be some cases of swine flu now presenting in the Southern Isles. it is important to try and mitigate its spread as much as possible. If you have sore throat, fever, cough, diarrhoea or vomiting please do not make an appointment or come to the surgery in person. Phone the practice instead (between 11 and 12 is the best time to call if possible) and you can discuss your case with a doctor or nurse.
